9 Month Stats
Weight: 22.5 lbs
Length: 27.5 in
Head: 18 in
Eating: Lots of table food now. We are trying to transition from purees which have been her favorite for about 4 months now to table food that we eat. So far her favorite things are pieces of cheese, bread, sweet potatoes, french fries, chicken, rice and mexican stars. She's also excellent at drinking water in her sippy cup and can drink out of pretty much any straw. She's also transitioning from nursing 4 times a day to 3 times a day.
Bedtime: 8:30-9:30 (with some exceptions).
Awake: Most of the day, lucky to get one nap.
Naps: Since Abby started crawling she has been much too excited to sleep during the day. Where we used to be doing 2 naps a day--one in the morning from 9:30--10:30 and 1-3pm, now I'm lucky if I can get her down for 1 nap even for an hour. She is also on crib strike again. We used to be able to put her down in her crib for naps and bedtime and now she screams and sits up and refuses to go down by herself. She prefers to be in our bed, cuddling with Mommy, Daddy, or Charlie.
Diapers: Size 4--we recently switched from Pamper Swaddlers to Huggies Little Movers because they are a bit bigger and perfect for a baby on the go!
Clothes: 18 months. Some 24 months and 2T sizes.
Favorites: Crawling around, exploring, pulling herself up on the ottoman, following people with her eyes when they get up and do something, unfolding laundry when Mommy's trying to fold it, taking things out of containers (toys, basket contents), learning and making new sounds.
Favorite toys: iPhone, remote control, musical Snoopy, dolly, puzzles (mostly chewing on the pieces)j, books (though she's chewed through the binding on one of them).
Latest Tricks: 9 month mark has been huge for Abby many new things--including crawling, teething, and pulling herself up. On April 22nd she started sitting up in her crib all by herself and shortly after we had to lower the crib for fear that she might crawl out. The whole month of April she has been extremely close to crawling--now that we are in the beginning of May Abby is full on crawling. Starting to go from one end of the room to another to go after things that she wants--mainly non-toys such as household items and Charlie's belongings. She is teething like crazy the top two teeth are visible now. Abby is also pulling herself to a standing position on our living room ottomans and the couch.
